This beautiful blonde woman of Danish descent was born on December 19, 1955, in the San Francisco area of California, to Danish parents.

From her native California, she returned to France every year and then settled in Paris for 12 years with her two sources of endless happiness: Katia and Igor, two Ukrainian children whom she adopted with all her heart in 2005 and 2007 respectively.

In July 2009, following a painful divorce from her husband, Susanne arrived in Montceau with the children and settled on Dream of the Boards, a houseboat moored on the town’s canal. It was owned by Mark di Suvero, a world-famous sculptor. The American artist lived on this houseboat for a year before acquiring a large studio in the Montcellian region.

For two years, Susanne had been working and creating her art in rather challenging conditions, as there was no heating on the boat during the winter. As a result, she and her children returned to her parents’ home in the United States when the winters became too harsh.

Susanne works mainly with bronze, steel, and ceramics, and her works are truly worth discovering. Fire and Ice, Shell, Golden Egg, Flame of Saint-Ouen, Voltige, The Eye of the Lookout, and Luna Papillon, as well as works inspired by the elements Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, are among her many artistic creations. It is difficult to believe that someone as delicate as Susanne is capable of working on such large bronze pieces. Yet the many machines in her studio speak for themselves. The work is difficult, but when you love what you do, you don’t count the cost.

Hyperlink to the source:

https://montceau-news.com/culture/89434-elle-a-travaille-avec-le-celebre-sculpteur-cesar.html
